Jimat was awarded a tender by GIZ and the project focused on developing country profiles in nine countries that include South Africa, Egypt, Ethiopia , Mauritania, Burkina Faso, Tunisia, Niger, and Nigeria.
The main objective of the assignment was to assess the status of access of land for the marginalized population such as women and the youth and to assess the impact of climate change on these groups. The assessment focused on how conflict can be exacerbated by the issue of land by Pastoralists and small holder farmers.
